I have finally gotten the site done, well as done as I want it for the moment. Things will still be in work for a while but for the most part everything is locked down with the design and such. For now I'll give you all the site name, in a few days I'll start automatically forwarding visitors to my new site.

Thanks everyone for you patients with me while I got everything up and running.

Nanohealing
A substance that has been experimented with since the early 90's has now found a new function. Researchers have recently discovered the usefulness of this synthetic peptide. The liquid can be poured over a wound and stop bleeding almost instantaneously. The peptide works by forming long stands in the presence of a salty enviroment such as that found in the human body.
The advantages of this new material over current stop bleeding fast products are numerous. The peptide stops bleeding faster, doesn't damage surrounding tissue and does not need to be removed from the wound as the body can break down the material easily. The peptide is currently undergoing FDA trial and certification. The peptide has the ability to shorten surgeries which in turn can lead to less risk of infection, less risk of a follow up surgery being needed to stop bleeding, as well a many other advantages. The furture could also see this heading onto the battlefield saving soldiers lives.

Saturn Storms!
NASA's Cassini spacecraft is tracking a storm on Saturn that is producing massive electrical discharges that are upwards of 10,000 times stronger than lightning found on Earth. The spacecraft tracked the discharges as the storm started, now in its fifth month of existence. The spacecraft has seen a few storms in the last few years that have lasted about a month, but this storm has obviously lasted much longer than the previously observed storms!

Lunar GPS
With development and testing of the shuttle replacement well underway, the next milestone beyond first flight of the rocket, is a lunar base. In order for the lunar base to be successful, they will need to communicate with Earth. This could pose a challenge for when astronauts are on the backside of the moon.
The current proposal is to launch a number of satellites to act as communication relay for the astronauts, and they could also double as a Lunar GPS system. A few proposals currently exist for where to place the satellites. One is the most obvious of orbiting the moon, but the moon has a very irregular gravitational field due to irregular mass within the moon. So they would have to follow a very specific path. The second idea is to place the satellites in the Lagrangian points where they would be able to see the reverse side of the moon and would remain fixed relative to the Earth-Moon system.

Sikorsky X2
Sikorsky helicopter company is developing a new helicopter design, using new technologies dubbed the X2 technologies. The aim of the program is to create new helicopter technologies to be able to make the helicopter fly faster without the overly complicated tilt rotor design.
Currently many passenger helicopters have a top speed of about 170 mph, and similar sized fixed wing aircraft can double that speed. The new design would add about 60% extra speed, to somewhere around 280mph. The increased speed would bring the advantages of a vertical takeoff/landing aircraft with more speed leading to shorter trip times.
The current design for the new helicopter prototype has two counter rotating main rotors and it appears that at the rear there is a pusher propeller to gain the addition speed that is desired in this design.

Chernobyl To Be Enclosed
It looks like someone is finally doing something about the decaying Chernobyl power plant. As most people know, Chernobyl is the site of the worlds most devastating Nuclear power mishap. The reactor melted down and released tons of radioactive material into the atmosphere. At the time of the disaster, a concrete "sarcophagus" was built around the failed power plant in 1986.
Now the years of exposure to radiation has weakened the concrete structure and the worry is that it soon could collapse and release radioactive dust into the atmosphere. In 1997 efforts to shore up the concrete "sarcophagus" and repair the cracks and weakened structure. The shoring of the concrete structure is expected to be completed very soon and work on a large steel containment structure will then begin. This structure will be built next to the power plant and then using rails, will move over the entire power plant structure to enclose it.

AMD X3
Looks like AMD has added a 3 core processor to their newly released Phenom line of products. Presumably the 3 core was a choice by AMD in order to offer something better than a 2 core but cheaper than an Intel Quad core. Unfortunately for AMD, Intel has just lowered their prices on the Quad core, making the 3 core processor something of an oddity. Not really worth sinking any money into.

24K Gold Macbook Air
Looks like a computer company named Computer Choppers, is gold plating a Macbook Air. Then to add that fun touch, they embedded the Apple logo with multi-colored sapphires. Really, I'm so glad they did this, cause who doesn't need a gold plated sapphire embedded ultra-portable money sink? I know I can't live another moment without one, check out the story at Engadget or swing on over to computer-choppers.com

Expedition Return a Little Off Course
Looks like for the second time in a row, the Soyuz capsule has returned to Earth with a pretty serious error in its trajectory. Unfortunately this placed a whole lot of unneeded stress on the astronauts, at times they experienced up to 10g's of force place on their bodies as the capsule took a steep ballistic trajectory on re-entry. Luckily the capsule landed successfully, but they were off course by over 200 miles delaying recovery by Russia for about 45 minutes.

On The Move
Posts may be a little erratic, I should keep posts up to date, but there may be a few days I miss. I'm in the process of moving to an actual website and it may take a while to get everything running.
Please feel free to give suggestions for a domain name as I have yet to get a domain. Also the format of the site will change a bit, still focusing mainly on Aerospace, but with some additions such as gaming and other stuff. Stay tuned!

I'll Take... None Of Those Please
I really don't know what some companies are thinking when they create some products, take a look at the following list of wired and seemingly useless/horrid products. The NextComputing's Vigor Evo HD, rugged, but I can't really figure out how the crap this is going to be used, or why the screen is on the outside.
Really... I have nothing that can add to this...
Flavored with a horridly small 64MB, is this memory capacity from 1995?
They still make mice with the balls in them, non-optical. I guess $8 may make it worth it... maybe...

Super Thin OLED
Sony is now working with displays that are powered by OLED's, or Organic Light Emitting Diodes. These new OLED's are still being perfected but some amazing results are coming from their use. One of those being the super thin display shown above, these displays will leave you thinking your wall hung pictures are too thick. These OLED displays are sporting a thickness of only 0.2mm or 0.0079in, on the thinnest model.
This looks like it may open up opportunities for some amazing products in the future. I can't wait to see where they go with this!

Processing in the Terahertz Range
It seems that engineers at the University of Utah have developed a new method of processing which uses perforated sheets of metal to control processing. This new way of processing has produced some pretty promising results. The engineers claim that in about 10 years we could see processing speeds go to a full terahertz. Current tests using this new method have already produced processing speeds of about 300 gigahertz.
Computing advancement still showing no signs of slowing down, now if we combine terahertz processing into multi-core systems, we'll have desktops that run like supercomputers!
